For over 35 years, Allison has developed horsemanship skills as a rider (trained in English hunt seat and Western) and horse owner, including ten years during which she handled all aspects of care on her family farm. Since 1995, she has dedicated her time assisting several organizations dedicated to family health and well-being.
As a mother of two sons and daughter, as well as a caregiver to seven foster children, Allison learned the complex needs and advocacy required for each of them to thrive. This has fueled her lifelong dedication to helping children and families. Offering equine assisted services now is the perfect culmination of the joy and impact she has found through loving and tending to both children and horses.
Allison, from her own experience, knew the healing power of time spent with horses. The foundation of this understanding grew and inspired her on a long journey to become a certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horseback Riding International (PATH).
Though Allison's work has primarily focused on children, she is happy to engage with people of all ages through this unique modality.
